My Andrews, Burnham, and Cogswell ancestors arrived in New England in 1635 on the Angel Gabriel, which was wrecked off of Pemaquid Point, Maine.  In 1991, a commemorative plaque was placed at the site by the Cogswell Family Association.  Another plaque was set in place by the Blaisdell Family Association, representing the Blaisdells, who went to York, Maine, and later to Salisbury, MA.

This is where our ancestors first set foot in the new world.

Today this beautiful lighthouse stands guard.

These two plaques are set in a large rock near the parking lot.
